HAVE YOUR SAY

[[EDITORIAL GAP — FLAGGED FOR MARK: no currently-open, dated public consultation was confirmed live during this issue's monitoring sweep. The NDP status pages returned historical designation/adoption dates (e.g. Cotton designated April 2026; Lower Gipping Valley designated July 2026) rather than an open consultation window closing in the next few weeks. Per the Assembly Prompt this section is mandatory every issue with no exceptions — before publishing, either (a) a targeted re-check of currently-open NDP consultations / referendum notices is needed, or (b) check BMSB-CARRY-FORWARD.md for a still-open consultation from a prior issue that has not yet closed and should resurface here per the "every open consultation" rule.]]

DID YOU KNOW?

The mound of a man called Babba The name Babergh appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Baberga — believed to mean "the mound of a man called Babba." That obscure Saxon burial mound is now the name on planning notices, Cabinet minutes, and a district serving 86,000 people. Babba would be surprised.
