HOUSING WORKS CONTRACT VALUES
The councils' published Contracts Register, most recently updated for July 2026, records the cyclical decoration and painting contract as held by Bell Decorating Group Ltd, at a combined ceiling value of £2,702,775 across Babergh and Mid Suffolk, term June 2022 to May 2027 following extension.
The Register separately records three further housing-works contracts, each matching in category and timing the eight housing contractor appointment decisions taken by the Director of Housing on 10 August 2026: roofing works held by GHB Roofing Ltd (£1,941,040 each council, extended to 4 September 2026); kitchen and bathroom works held by Seager Home Solutions Ltd (£3,558,395 Babergh, £4,207,840 Mid Suffolk in cumulative call-off values, extended to 25 May 2027); and minor works held jointly by Mixbrow Ltd and O Seaman & Son Ltd (£2,000,000 each, term 1 May to 1 November 2026, a new dual appointment not present in the two prior Register editions). The decision records and their accompanying key-decision documents name none of these three contractors directly — they state only that each contract was awarded via tender process — so this pairing is reported as a strong inference from category and timing, not a council confirmation.
